[7 Days to Die] Vending Machine Goods

Another wonderful project I've done so far during my time with The Fun Pimps - not only recreating all of the candy packaging, but creating several entirely new brands. The goal was to fill out a new vending machine asset, in the game's pursuit of bringing the game's art assets to modern standards.

A lot of the work featured is custom, with stock images used carefully to save time and to cover areas I couldn't easily create quickly. I also did a lot of custom 3D work in Blender for these assets, as well, such as in the chips or candy bits shown in some of the packaging.

Collection of all of the Candy Redesigns I made for the Vending Machine. I used a mixture of my own art, blender rendering, and stock image assets to quickly remake existing assets in the game.

"Eye Kandy" originally didn't have much of its own identity. I played around with the concept and made a heavily rough female body shape, then (using tutorials) used Geometry Nodes in Blender to get the "sour candy" look.

I had a lot of fun with the "Atom Junkies" concept, as well. I had already modeled and rendered some generic candy shapes that I recolored to a dark red, and I leaned into the sour, atomic vibe by redrawing the kid on the cover.

Easily my favorite design of the entire project. I really wanted to do a mascot for Ramen, based on the incredible designs you see on most imported ramen. Enter "Mr. Salty", a dopey cute Axolotl who isn't aware of the horrible things written on his head.

The chip bags are a good example of my custom 3D work on this project - some are modeled, others are modified from existing Adobe 3D stock. I lit and rendered the chips myself into the positions I wanted.

The final assets were created by Hung Pham, and you can see some examples of these assets in the vending machine here. He did a fantastic job with the creation of the actual assets!
