Black Dragon Merchant And Exports

Assignment was to create a company and use that company to create branding, stationary, and other aspects of the company from scratch. I chose Black Dragon, a company that specializes in adventure-RPG oriented leather and high quality fabric products.

The idea was that the company focused on fantasy and the idea of adventure, so the logo behind the company had to both invoke this feeling and also provide the context that the company was rugged and interested in authenticity and high quality. I chose a dragon as the easiest to recognize for a fantasy background, and then worked with stamping and mystical textures on the backdrop.

I eventually decided on the bottom concept, which had the look of an official seal while also standing apart from too much of a focus on medieval concepts.
