[NOTE: Some of the information is related to lore in 7 Days to Die - with no guarantee on accuracy (after all, are local newspapers always 1:1 accurate?), but I tried to prepare information as best as I could to faithfully represent the game's lore. That being said, information may not be entirely accurate to the future decisions of lore or story in the game, including names, timing of events, cause of events, and even the events themselves. I was tasked with helping remake the newspapers Decals that'd appear in generated terrain. The final asset decal which was implemented into Unity was done by Hung Pham on THE FUN PIMPS team, but the texture used to make these (as well as examples of implementation) was prepared by me.
All of the text prepared in these assets was done by hand, with zero AI usage in the writing of the articles. Typically, a less insane person would simply use Lorem Ipsum, but I personally believe assets that have detailed writing with intricate jokes in them are always superior to just filling with filler text (similar to my Paper Journal and Whiteboard assets). Obviously, some of the articles are better than others - I started to run out of ideas. Also, there are tons of Leading, Kerning, and overall paragraph arrangement issues that make me pained to see as I review the asset afterwards - if the asset was more in-the-player's-face, I'd probably have fixed that.
Imagery is either taken from concept art or using stock imagery via sites like shutterstock or Adobe Stock.
